General Home Inspection
Our residential property inspection consists of a non-invasive visual evaluation of most readily accessible components of a home. Each inspection is performed with careful precision, revealing the overall condition of the property and its constituent systems.
We inspect the following areas:
- Roofing System (including gutters, downspouts, flashing, trim)
- Structural Components
- Grading & Drainage
- Foundation & Crawl Space
- Exterior (including doors, windows, cladding, soffits, fascias)
- Driveway & Walkways
- Deck & Patio
- Interior (including doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, stairs)
- Attic, Insulation, & Ventilation
- Fireplace & Chimney
- Garage Door
- Electrical System
- Plumbing System
- Heating & Cooling Systems
A Pre-Listing Inspection is for homeowners who intend to sell their property. Before your home is listed, we’ll perform a comprehensive inspection that will reveal any deficient areas. You can use the information in your report to schedule any recommended repairs or improvements as deemed necessary. This will promote smooth negotiations with a prospective buyer when their own inspection fails to turn up any hidden issues.
New Construction Inspection
As construction draws to a close on your new home, the services of a third-party home inspector can be of great benefit. We’ll conduct an unbiased assessment of the property, informing you of any defective components or improperly installed systems—allowing you an opportunity to see that any major issues are resolved before moving in.
After the completion of repairs or improvements that were recommended by First Light Home Inspections, we encourage you to schedule a Re-Inspection. We’ll evaluate any corrections that have been made to ensure that they were performed adequately and that there are no lingering safety concerns.
